Ensuring that a veteran horse is receiving adequate amounts of fibre can be quite a challenge, especially when the horse can no longer chew hay or haylage effectively. With this consideration in mind, our Senior blend has been specially formulated to help meet the unique nutritional needs of the older horse. This product contains a quality, lightly molassed blend of oat straw, hay, and dried grass, all chosen for their beneficial properties. Senior features short chopped chaff, making it not only easy to chew but also simple to digest for those horses that may have dental issues. It can be conveniently added to the concentrate diet or fed adlib if necessary to increase the fibre intake further, or it can be used effectively as either a partial or full hay replacer, offering flexibility in feeding options.
